Welcome to Shareify. By downloading, accessing, or using the Shareify mobile application (the “App”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Introduction

Shareify (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides a platform that enables users to create groups, add expenses, attach receipts, and track balances. These Terms govern your use of the App. Use of the App is also subject to our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 16 years old to use the App.
• Users under 18 may only use the App with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
• By creating an account, you confirm you meet these requirements.

3. Account Registration and Data

• You must provide accurate information when registering, including your name and mobile phone number.
• You may optionally add a profile picture and, in the future, an email address for recovery and communication.
• If you add friends to Shareify, you may provide their names and contact details. This allows us to invite them and, if they later register, link and migrate historical groups, receipts, and expenses to their new account.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and confidential.

4. User Responsibilities

• Enter only accurate and lawful expense and receipt information.
• Do not upload offensive, harmful, or unlawful content.
• Respect the privacy and rights of others; do not misuse personal data shared within the App.
• You remain responsible for any disputes with other users regarding money owed or payments made outside the App.

5. Ownership and Intellectual Property

• Your Content: You retain ownership of expenses, receipts, and data you submit. By submitting, you grant Shareify a license to store, process, and display it within the App for service provision.
• Our Content: The App and its trademarks, logos, software, and proprietary content belong to Shareify and are protected by law.

6. Payments and Settlements

• Shareify currently does not process real money transactions.
• The App records balances, suggested settlements, and manual payments for tracking only.
• Any transfer of money outside the App (e.g., via bank transfer or third-party apps) is solely the responsibility of the users involved.
• If subscription or settlement features are added in future, updated Terms will apply.

7. Termination and Deletion

• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
• You may delete your account at any time through the App. Deletion is effective immediately, subject to the Privacy Policy (e.g., group/receipt data may remain visible if other participants are still active).

8. Disclaimers and Liability

• The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
• You are solely responsible for financial arrangements and disputes with other users.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the App or by other reasonable means. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law

These Terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, except where local consumer protection laws apply. The specific state law and courts of competent jurisdiction will be confirmed once Shareify establishes its legal entity.
